RESULTS 

The fourth and final round of the 2004 Cafe Racer Club series ran at Mallala over the 29th, 30th & 31st of October. The weather was warm, the flies were thick and the competition was as hot as ever.

Round 3 of the Cafe Racer Club series for 2004 was held at Mallala over the 3rd, 4th & 5th of September. Fine Spring weather followed the light showers early on Saturday. The variable conditions saw many break outs in Division 2, so they were dropped for racing. Low 10's were the order of the day for the open class racing and some hot competition was shown for the outright placings. 

Round 2 of the Cafe Racer Club series for 2004 was held at Mallala over the 4th, 5th & 6th of June. The weather smiled upon us with cool days and no rain. There was a flood of personal best performances, resulting in a few surprised faces at the presentations. The Supersport and 125cc GP class records fell to the interstate riders who were here for some pre ASC testing. Billy McConnell rode strongly all weekend, taking the win for the second round of the Sonnex sponsored Reece Bancell Trophy. He didn’t have it all his own way, as Brendan Roberts fought hard taking a couple of wins in the Superstock events. Glen Allerton, Josh Waters and Russell Holland put on some strong racing in the Formula 1 and Unlimited Solo events, as did Bryan Staring and Mick Kelly in the Formula 3.

The club's first meeting for 2004 was an interclub event held at Mallala on the Anzac Day weekend 25^th & 26^th April, round 1 of the four round 2004 series. Raven Racing brought their tyre fitting truck, two technicians and a pile of gear from Victoria for the occasion, which raised the level of the meeting for competitors, spectators and officials alike. The races were all hotly contested, especially the Unlimited Solo and Reece Bancell Trophy events. Three of the Bracket Racing debutantes received a trophy for their efforts.
