RACING 

Barbagallo - 9^th & 10^th April 2005

Our Man in Western Australia, Alec Millett reports:
I met up with Paul Murray (Ducati Adelaide Pit Monkey) and Paul Martinello (FX Pro-Twins Ducati Adelaide 999S) in the pits at Wanneroo (I refuse to call it ‘Barbagallo’!) today.  Also there were Andrew Whyment (FX C&D Future Champions/FX Pro-Twins/Nakeds Spy Thunder Racing Aprilia Tuono), James Van Rooyen (FX C&D Future Champions/FX Pro-Twins/Nakeds Spy Thunder Racing Aprilia Tuono) and Richard (Liminton Designs FX Pro-Twins Ducati 999S) & Nick Liminton (Liminton Designs FX Pro-Twins Ducati 749R).  Other South Aussies there were Stephen Jones & Jay Budarick (Sidecars), Darren Hall (C&D Future Champions), James Doddrell (Protectaprint Superstock), Stephen Liddicoat (Race Bike Services Superstock), Michael Ellis (GP Motorcycles Superbike), John Tuchyna (Superbike) and Paul McMenamin (Superbike).

Glorious weather and some serious racing were the order of the day.  The track itself is fantastic with lots of interest with elevation changes, a great racing surface and some well deserved grass from recent rains.

The pics show both Pauls working on the Liminton 749R, Andrew and James' Aprilias, Andrew lazing around while James polishes ANDREW’s bike(!), the Martinello 999S (with James in the background), Dan Stauffer’s highside result (hope he’s OK), a shot through the esses (love the spectators viewing areas!) and the Honda equippe (impressive).

All up a brilliant day and nice to see some ex SA Bracketeers in the mix of the national talent.  Watch the highlights next week on Ten/SBS.  Awesome!!
