On behalf of the Atujura MCC, Cafe Racer Club of SA, Mt Gambier MC & LCC, Phoenix MCC and our sponsors All Brake Services, Bridgeland Motorcycles and Italian Motorcycles, it is my pleasure to welcome you to the South Oz Road Race Series. From the competitors' perspective, the series is designed to ensure that everyone can get out and "have a go". From the spectators' perspective the series presents classes of racing which will provide close, exciting racing. We sincerely hope that you will enjoy our race meetings be entertained in all rounds. Johnson gets first WSBK taste

Aussie Wildcard got the first taste of his BMW Superbike ahead of the opening round of the 2012 World Superbike Championship at Phillip Island.

The British Superstock 1000 Championship rider is down at the iconic Island circuit as part of the WSBK Private Testing event ahead of the season-opener at the end of February.

Taking to the Rossair AEP Racing Team machine for the first time, Johnson was solid in his first outing in near-perfect conditions recording a best lap time of 1’35.7.

While Johnson was the only Aussie in action on Monday, he will be joined by the likes of Mark Aitchison and Bryan Staring next week when the Official WSBK Testing event takes place at Phillip Island from 20-21 February.

The 2012 World Superbike Championship Australian Round takes place at Phillip Island from 24-26 February.
