Kneescrapers

 

On a Kneescrapers ride day you can ride at Mallala all day.

Graded groups based on speed and experience are run in separate sessions.

You  will ride in the groups you are graded, however the groups are flexible. So as you become more confident and become a little quicker through the day, or if you become a little tired, you can move up or down a group. Come see an official on the day if you need assistance with this.

Riders require a Motorcycling Australia recreational license or equivalent to participate on the day, which are availabe at the track if you do not already have an MA license.

On the Day

Your bike will need to pass a basic safety check, so make sure it will !! Please bring enough fuel for the day.

One or two piece leathers, a current standard helmet, riding boots, gloves are preferred safety equipment. A back protector is recomended. Other clothing may be work at the Supervisor's discretion, but may incur a speed restriction!

Sign-in and inspection starts at 8:00 am
Compulsory Riders Briefing at 8:30 am
First bikes on track at 9:30 am, track closes at 5:00 pm

Please feel free to invite your friends and family to come watch your experience, there is no charge and there is a canteen whcih nibbles and drinks can be purchased from.

Johnson gets first WSBK taste

Aussie Wildcard got the first taste of his BMW Superbike ahead of the opening round of the 2012 World Superbike Championship at Phillip Island.

The British Superstock 1000 Championship rider is down at the iconic Island circuit as part of the WSBK Private Testing event ahead of the season-opener at the end of February.

Taking to the Rossair AEP Racing Team machine for the first time, Johnson was solid in his first outing in near-perfect conditions recording a best lap time of 1’35.7.

While Johnson was the only Aussie in action on Monday, he will be joined by the likes of Mark Aitchison and Bryan Staring next week when the Official WSBK Testing event takes place at Phillip Island from 20-21 February.

The 2012 World Superbike Championship Australian Round takes place at Phillip Island from 24-26 February.
