Club Announcments

2012

It is here and the season is coming. This year we will have some exciting new competitions, more going on at our race meets and we want to see Road Racing in SA try to make a step forward.

Our clubs committee are committed to working their butts off for free in 2012 as they always have done. They do it for all of us that enjoy 2 wheels and to better the sport in our state, there is no personel gain. The club is always grateful for the support  and generosity of its members. This year, as the committee dig deep, we will be grateful to our members that pitch in whenever and wherever they feel they can. The way i see it, if you are helping the club, you are a part of the club as the committee is.

Its not just about helping out on the day with sign on or scrutineering. We need everyone to think about how we can grow in this state, which in turns helps you go racing for years to come. We need full racing grids, we need people coming through the gate to watch and we need to be a welcoming community for the new commers. If you are a racer, help out or just have a chat with ride day rider, it makes a difference!

Stay upright... grab a trophy if you can!

Greeney.

Our first race meeting will be 26th-27th May 2012 but prior to that we still have Mac Park rounds conducted by Mac Park. We will endeavour to create a 2013 calendar that is spread better over the year with the other state clubs for a better series in 2013. We will still be running most of the ride days at Mallala so you can still get out there.

The Club would like to express its gratitude to Duncan Gordon and Adelaide Equity for their continued support.

The Club Tyre Changer

The club has bought a tyre changer and we are working with bike shops to increase the value of the club whilst getting ripper deals for racers and volunteers. Unfortunately in Australia we do not get the same support as in other countries like Britain and Spain but with ALL the members support we can build the sport and the level of mutual benefit to the club and bike shops; my mission as President is to make us valuable to bike shops and increase the shops profiles and service at the track in the future. I would like any of the bike shops in South Australia to be represented at EVERY race meeting and EVERY ride day to supply racers and track day riders with all peripherals that we need. This is going to take a bit of effort to build to something worthwhile to the bike shop and the club.

New to Ride Days?

Riders require a Motorcycling Australia recreational license or equivalent to participate on the day. Your bike will need to pass a basic safety check(Brakes, Tyres, etc) so make sure it will !! Bring fuel. One or two piece leathers, a current standard helmet, riding boots gloves are preferred safety equipment. A back protector is recommended.
