The Overtaker, riding his rather unusual WLA Harley powered Triumph Thunderbird. The front end is from a Suzuki 380GT.
Fred had the distinction of being the first guy in the club to really total a bike. This is what happens to a Suzuki waterbottle if you just add a touch of Dodge pick up.
In the early days of the club, we spent a lot of time travelling to rallies for the purpose of beer drinking. Here The Overtaker and Schteve support each other at the Worlds End Rally 1978.
There was an annual cricket match against the Suzuki MCC. Here's the Cafe Racer Club bikes in the car park prior to the match.

Life member Chris Peake received the Frank Franklin award for services to motorcycling at the 2000 season S.A. Road Race Championships presentation.
