Click the Tributes link to revisit memories of some of our lost members.

We'll work on getting some of the yarns about the old days (when men were men, and women were glad) here for those who are having trouble sleeping. In the meantime, you can look at recent editions of Cafe News, our monthly news letter.

Legend has it that Buddha (compiler of the club archives in days gone by) had a crash on the way home from the pub one night. This saw the end of his somewhat thrashed, but much loved GPZ900, which proved to be his last bike. Club cartoonist Rick Girvin couldn't let an opportunity like that go by. Click on the thumbnail of Buddha on the left, and you will see how the event was recorded in Cafe News back in 1987.
Gavin Thus and Steve Martin would both turn it on for the crowd during our lunch time wheelstand contests at Mallala. The picture at left is Gavin looking for the balance point on Mr Hattie's GSX-1100EF in 1996. Thanks to Damir at Focal Vision for this shot from Mr Hattie's archive.
Steve Martin found us a picture from his own archive, albeit a very yellowed newspaper article from the Mt Gambier Border Watch on January 3rd 1989 where he took front page billing.
Here's the accompanying article describing Steve's victory.
